In-Home Puppy Training in Geelong

Bringing home a new puppy is exciting - and exhausting. Biting, toilet accidents, broken sleep, jumping on visitors. The good news: the first months are when puppies learn fastest, and the habits you build now last for life.

WHAT WE WORK ON

Toilet training - Biting and mouthing (bite inhibition) - Sleeping well and bed or crate routines - Calmness and settling - Focus and engagement - Impulse control - Loose-lead walking - Recall - Confidence around people, dogs and new experiences.

A PLAN FOR EVERY STAGE

8 to 12 weeks: settling in, toilet routines, sleep, gentle handling and early socialisation.

3 to 6 months: biting, jumping, lead walking, recall and building focus as your puppy explores more of the world.

6 months to adolescence: keeping skills reliable when independence kicks in - the stage where many dogs seem to forget everything.

18+ YEARS OF PUPPY DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE

I'm Drew, a qualified dog trainer and former primary school teacher. I led the Puppy Development Program at Guide Dogs Victoria, laying the foundations for hundreds of future guide dogs, and worked as a behaviour trainer at RSPCA Victoria. Now I bring that same structured, reward-based approach to Geelong families.

WHY TRAIN AT HOME?

Your puppy learns best where they live. Training in your home, your street and your local park means we fix the problems you actually have - not just the ones that show up in a class.

DO I NEED PUPPY SCHOOL FOR SOCIALISATION?

Socialisation isn't about puppies wrestling with other puppies. It's about positive, well-chosen experiences with people, places, sounds and calm, friendly dogs. I'll show you how to do it properly.

Puppy Development Programs start from $690, built around your goals for your puppy. Ready to give them the best start? Apply for training below.
