I'm Drew - A certified dog behaviour trainer with over 15 years of professional dog behaviour training experience based in the Geelong region.

I have been training dogs for over 15 years professionally (having had dogs all my life), including working as a behaviour trainer at the RSPCA, assessing behavioural cases of rescued or re-homed dogs and running training classes at all levels. 

​

I then led the Puppy Development Program at Guide Dogs Victoria, training the fundamentals for hundreds of pups that will become leaders of those who have a vision impairment.

 

I really enjoy working with families to help them understand the concepts of learning and how to best set their puppy up for lifelong learning. ​

I will cover all the basics and teach you how to work through all of the usual puppy behaviours to help them to become confident, toilet trained, stop biting/mouthing, walk well on lead, come back when called and above all, listen to you!

As a past school teacher of over 15 years and my extensive dog training background, I decided to start Concept Dog Training to help owners and dogs to create a positive and fun relationship while developing lifelong learning.

 

I am experienced with teaching adult owners as well as children on how to be safe around puppies and dogs and how they can be involved with the training.

​

I have always had dogs in my life and, like you, I have had challenges along the way, which is what led me to grow a love for dog training and teaching! 

​

At Concept Dog Training, I always keep up to date with modern training techniques and regularly attend dog training seminars and events. I can teach you how to understand your dog's body language, stress signs, the different ways they are communicating and any other behaviours they are expressing so you can gain a deeper understanding and connection with your dog.
